Cherries & Gout - A Natural Remedy to Prevent Future Gout Attacks!

Cherries for Gout - It's Too Good To Be True!

There's a reason for everything! And I truly believe that the reason cherries were put on this earth was to prevent gout attacks!! Thank goodness for the magical, wonderful, delicious cherry!!

My husband refuses to take any type of medication. He won't even take an aspirin for his headaches! So being a gout sufferer is not a very 'good thing' for him.

Cherries: A Natural Way To Prevent Gout!

I started to research natural ways to control and prevent gout. There are a lot of great books and products out there ready to help gout sufferers. He purchased a couple of books and never regretted it.

The important thing I learnt from these books was that gout could be controlled through diet. All of the medications (along with their side effects) are really not necessary! The books detail the types of foods to eat with gout in moderation, and those to avoid all together.

There are only a few foods that are actually beneficial for a gout sufferer to eat, and cherries are one of them! Cherries are thought to have properties that act as an anti-inflammatory and there are studies done showing that they may even lower the uric acid levels in your blood.

It Really Works!

Cherries and water are what worked for my husband. He ate a bowl full of cherries for a couple of days and drank lots and lots of water! After the first day, the swelling started to go down. By day three he was back at work!

He doesn't eat tons of cherries everyday. Now he takes cherry juice concentrate in the morning and he drinks at least six bottles of water a day. This along with a new gout friendly diet has kept his gout at bay for over a year now!!

Anytime he feels a little twinge in one of his joints, he will take an extra shot of cherry juice, double up on the water and he's as good as new!
