Detoxification is the body's natural process of eliminating toxins from the body. Every single day our bodies are attacked with numerous air and food pollutants. Foods such as alcohol, caffeine, salt, sugar, red meat, yellow cheese, fried foods and processed foods all contribute to building up unnecessary toxins in our bodies. If we don't attempt to clean out our systems every few months, the buildup of toxins can put a serious strain on our health.
Generally, the toxins which we obtain from food and the environment are passed through stools and urine. However, there are those few parasites and chemicals which remain in our bodies. The only way to get rid of them is through detoxification. When you detox, you consume foods that are rich in fiber and water and which naturally provide the body with vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. Some of these foods include raw fruit, raw vegetables, nuts, seeds, fish, herbal teas and legumes. By consuming these foods you reduce your intake of chemicals and induce an increase in bowel movements. Fruit is known to provide roughage in the intestines, thereby speeding up and increasing excretion of toxins.
However, if you never undergo detoxification and you constantly consume an unhealthy diet, your health may be at risk. Hormonal imbalance, impaired immune function, fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, nutritional deficiency, indigestion, poor skin, bad breath, and muscle pain are just a few of the starting signs of a poorly taken care of body. The dotox process will lead you to experience more energy, clearer skin, regular bowel movements, improved digestion, increased concentration and mental clarity. However, not everyone should undergo this process, for instance pregnant women are highly unadvised to do so. But if you are a healthy individual, speak with your doctor regarding this body enhancing treatment.
